I started TUNE to help you remember the mind-blowingly beautiful truth of who you are.

(Yes, I know how cheesy that sounds, but it really is true. And we need the truth more than ever right now.)

Hi, I’m Shelby, and I’m the founder of TUNE.

I spent the first few decades of my life using movement and dance to process my emotions, regulate my nervous system, and connect with my true Self. Of course, I had no idea that’s what I was doing at the time, I just loved expressing myself through movement - my parents used to say I started dancing before I learned to walk.

It wasn’t until my late twenties, when I allowed the seemingly endless demands of my teaching career to stop me from dancing, that I really began to understand how integral that connection with my body is to my sense of who I am, what I think, and how I feel.

As a kindergarten teacher, I was frequently in awe of the joy, wonder and tireless creativity of my students. They helped me remember that we all start out this way - at our core, every single one of us is brilliant, radiant, and infinitely creative. Unfortunately, at the time, I was too tired and overwhelmed to dedicate much time and energy to my own joy and creativity, and I felt far from radiant.

Most of us lose our connection to our beautiful, wild, unconditioned Selves somewhere along the path to adulthood. Without the right tools and support to help us process and integrate our experiences, we end up disconnected, exhausted, and stuck in limiting beliefs that prevent us from being fully present and aware of our power and potential.

The only way back to the truth of who we are is to let the wisdom of our bodies guide us.

This disconnection from my true Self eventually led to physical symptoms that forced me to pay attention to my body. I left my teaching job and have dedicated the last fifteen or so years to researching and training in a variety of body-based healing modalities.

When I discovered Biofield Tuning, it felt like finding the missing puzzle piece; BT is an efficient and profoundly effective method that uses the body’s inherent wisdom to bring itself into coherence - a state in which deeper levels of inner awareness naturally arise.

I started TUNE in 2022 after completing my BT Practitioner Training, and went on to complete each of the advanced courses, including the first ever Level 4 Mastering the Artistry Training in 2024.

If you’ve already had a session with me, you probably know I love this line from the poem Wild Geese by Mary Oliver:

“You have only to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.”

I hope I can help you find your way back to the wisdom of your own body, and the joyful life it’s waiting to guide you to.

With Much Love,

Shelby
