3 Session Package
The effects of Somatic Sound Therapy are cumulative; each session builds on the one prior to it. A series of 3 sessions scheduled 1-2 weeks apart is recommended as a starting point for new clients. This allows for a progressive deepening in somatic awareness, as well as a more comprehensive assessment of the biofield as we begin to resolve long-held patterns and retrain the energy system.

How Do Somatic Sound Therapy Sessions Work?
The word ‘somatic’ means of or relating to the body. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and visualization exercises, somatic therapy teaches us how to pay deeper attention to our physical sensations, allowing the wisdom of the body to speak to and guide us.
Sound therapy utilizes the coherent vibrations of tuning forks and other instruments, such as singing bowls and chimes, to resolve dissonance in the biofield (the energy system that surrounds and flows through the physical body). Just as it’s possible to tune a piano so the strings vibrate at optimal frequencies for music, sound therapy tunes the body so it vibrates at optimal frequencies for energetic flow and alignment.
Somatic Sound Therapy sessions combine various tools and techniques from both of these approaches to help you deeply relax, release tension, and resolve unprocessed emotions and the symptoms of stored stress. This regulates your nervous system and very often results in a state of expanded awareness, in which higher levels of consciousness and inner knowing naturally arise. When combined, these two therapeutic approaches perfectly complement each other, greatly magnifying the benefits of both.
Contraindications
Somatic Sound Therapy is not recommended for individuals who are acutely ill, as it may prompt a strong detoxification response. As the body releases stored tension, toxins held in constricted tissues can be mobilized, occasionally resulting in temporary symptoms such as fatigue, emotional fluctuations, flu-like sensations, loose stools, or—rarely—skin irritation or nausea. Somatic Sound Therapy is contraindicated in certain situations, including pregnancy, sound-triggered epilepsy, severe mental illness, active cancer, palliative care, and for those who have specific implanted medical devices. If you have any questions about whether these sessions are a good fit for you, please reach out to me.
Sliding Scale
I was a student and a teacher for a long time, and I am infinitely grateful for the practitioners I worked with over the years who offered sliding scale sessions. I passionately believe in the life-changing impact of this work, and I hope to make it accessible to as many people as possible. However, I offer a limited number of sliding scale sessions each month, so please only request one if it would otherwise be cost prohibitive. If you or someone you care about would benefit from a reduced rate, please reach out and let me know.
